If rumours are to be believed then Apple are testing the iPad 2’s A5 processor in the Macbook Air. According to the anonymous source, who saw the MacBook Airs live,  the A5 processors performed better than expected. Saying this it is unknown whether the air was running Lion, Snow Leopard or iOS, found on iPhones, iPads and iPod Touches. It would be annoying for developers as they would have to alter their software for the ARM Architecture compared with intel but Apple would be able to claim even longer battery life than they already do due to the A5 needing low power.
