Some say that Apple Support Communities is what it would be like if Yahoo Answers mated with Facebook and I agree. You can ask questions and answer them to receive points, you have your own profile page and can ‘like’ answers.

   You can direct your questions at specific committees( iPhone, iMac, iTunes) and as well as ‘liking’ another users answer they can also award 5 points to them. As you earn points you reach levels. Level 10 is 80,000 points but Apple is still working on these.
  It looks like a good update to Apple Discussions and I will be using it, even if it is just for helping people not asking.
