Skype has released an update for its iPhone app with video calling now available. You can video call to anyone else thats on Skype over Wifi or the much awaited 3G. This is the main competitor to Apple’s Facetime which was released 6 months ago. Video calling has been widely available since 2003 but Skype became used a lot in 2006-2007. And now Apple have used their charm to get people video calling via its products(which many people have) with Facetime. Facetime only works over Wifi at the moment but it is possible, if you jailbreak, to get Facetime over 3G. Also because Skype have been going since 2003 and have millions of users then they probably have the upper hand now over Apple.
